
ANEEJ, Police, Others Meet In Benin For Crime Prevention Strategies
Africa Network for Environment and Economic Justice, ANEEJ has organized a 2-day crime prevention partners workshop in Benin City with men of the Nigeria Police Force, Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, and NAPTIP with view to discussing crime prevention strategies.
ANEEJ Executive Director, Reverend David Ugolor while speaking during his welcome address on Monday urged all participants at the CPP workshop to pay keen interest in the activities of the workshop, learn, contribute and own the process.
The Serious Organised Crime (SOC-Prevent) project State Coordinator, Sandra Eguagie presented a crime profiling template to participants at the workshop and walked them through group work on Crime profiling of Oredo and Ikpoba-Okha Local Government Areas and Communities based on the template.
The CPP workshop which was also a way of briefing stakeholders at community level of the SOC-Prevent project goals and objectives and the reason to own the process, had participants drawn from NAPTIP, Nigeria Police Force (Aideyan and Iyekogba Police Division), Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Edo State Taskforce on Human Trafficking, CSOs and community representatives from Ikpoba-Okha and Oredo.
