
Another 50ft Container Falls Off Near Commercial Buses In Lagos
A terrible accident was averted on Wednesday morning when a truck conveying 50 feet container falls off near two coaster buses in Lagos State.
It was gathered that the container nearly crushed the commercial buses at Oshodi-Isale area in Lagos State.
Eyewitnesses said the truck conveying the container may have failed brake.
Adding, the driver of the truck maneuvered the vehicle and narrowly missed the two coaster buses.
Lagos State Traffic Management Authority said efforts are being made to evacuate the container from the road, according to Punch Newspaper.
It would be recalled that over eight persons including two children and six adults were pressed to death on Sunday when a truck with a 50 feet container fell on a fully loaded passengers bus in Lagos State.
The accident occured near Ojuelegba bridge when the trailer was said wanted to overtake the bus.

According to the Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, Dr. Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, the truck bearing the container lost control while climbing the bridge.
“Upon arrival at the scene, a truck conveying a container was found to have landed on top of a commercial bus.
“Investigation revealed that the bus was picking up passengers when the truck lost control and fell over the side of the bridge.
“A total of eight fatalities were recovered, comprising four adult males, two adult females, a girl and a boy”, the Lagos State Permanent Secretary said.
