Becoming US President, ‘Dangerous Business’ – Donald Trump Reacts After Apparent 2rd Assassination
Former United States of America President, Donald Trump has reacted to the apparent assassination to his life for the second time within two months and less than two months to the USA presidential elections the former president is seeking to be re-elected back to the White House.
Donald Trump referred to being US president as a “dangerous business” as he held his first campaign event since the apparent attempt on his life in Florida on Sunday.
The former President, Donald Trump who spoke at a Town Hall in Flint, Michigan, discussed the second assassination attempt on him, described the incident in detail, explained how a woman helped the security operatives to locate the suspect after the suspect had fled out of police sight and started wandering along the roads.
According to Donald Trump, immediately after a Secret Service personnel sighted the gunman coming out from a bush with Ak-47 riffle on his hand, the Secret Agent without asking question or any act of delay, opened fire on the gunman, forcing the gunman to flee with his guns and other properties abandoned.
Donald Trump said, while the gunman was running, a woman sighted him and followed him up. The woman took photographs of the gunman and submitted the photographs to the Sheriff and in less than ten minutes, the security operatives intercepted the suspect.
Official report indicated that the suspected gunman behind the apparent assassination attempt against Donald Trump did not shoot. The armed suspect, Ryan Wesley Routh, was said to have spent nearly 12 hours on the perimeter of Donald Trump’s golf course before being spotted by a Secret Service agent.
The apparent assassination attempt occurred just two months after Donald Trump narrowly survived an assassination attempt with injuries on one of his ears.
Former President Donald Trump on Tuesday paid a scheduled visist and praised the Secret Service for stopping the apparent assassination.
“I’m fine. The Secret Service did a good job, actually,” he said.
We gathered that a Secret Service agent fired several shots at Ryan Wesley Routh, who was allegedly concealed in a tree line armed with a rifle at the Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Florida, about 300 to 500 yards from the Republican presidential nominee, according to police authorities.
The suspect was able to get into a car and drive off, but was stopped by law enforcement.
He appeared in court on Monday and currently faces two felony gun charges. The investigation is ongoing, the police stated.
Trump also discussed his phone call with President Joe Biden following the incident, calling the conversation “very, very nice.”
“He called me just to, you know, express his sort of horror that a thing like that could happen. But it was a very good conversation,” Trump said.
Trump said Biden told him he wants to be sure the Secret Service has all the resources it needs to do its job, adding, “I hope that is the case.”
The suspect, Ryan Wesley Routh, according to multiple reports, was a man who once wrote a book urging Iran to kill the former president.
Ryan Routh portrayed himself online as a man who built housing for homeless people in Hawaii.
He also tried to recruit fighters for Ukraine to defend itself against Russia, and described his support and then disdain for Donald Trump — even urging Iran to kill the former president.
“You are free to assassinate Trump,” Routh wrote of Iran in an apparently self-published book in 2023, “Ukraine’s Unwinnable War,” which described the former president as a “fool” and “buffoon” for both the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol riots and the “tremendous blunder” of leaving the Iran nuclear deal.
Routh also wrote that he once voted for Trump, apportioning a part of the blame to himself.
In a tweet in June 2020, after the police killing of George Floyd, Routh said then-President Trump could win reelection by issuing an executive order to prosecute police misconduct. However, in recent years, his posts appear to have soured on Trump, and he expressed support for President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris, the current Democratic presidential nominee.
“DeMOCRACY is on the ballot and we cannot lose,” he wrote on X in April in support of Biden.
Following the assassination attempt on Trump at a rally in Pennsylvania in July, a post on Routh’s account urged Biden and Harris to visit those wounded in the shooting and attend the funeral of the firefighter who was killed.
“Trump will never do anything for them,” Routh wrote. “Show the world what compassion and humanity is all about.”
He described Trump as a “child that we elected for our next president that ended up being brainless.”
Routh, 58, who was arrested Sunday was accused of stalking the GOP presidential nominee as he golfed in West Palm Beach, Florida, with a AK-47-style rifle in what has now been found as an assassination attempt thwarted by the Secret Service.
Through his voluminous online footprint, public records, news interviews and videos, a picture emerged of Routh as a man with a criminal past, plenty of outrage and shifting politics.
His over 500 posts on X showed his views ranging from the left to the right, including support for politicians such as Bernie Sanders, Tulsi Gabbard and Nicki Haley, as well as Trump.
Voter records show he registered as an unaffiliated voter in North Carolina in 2012, most recently voting in person during the state’s Democratic primary in March.
Further revelations show that Routh also made 19 small donations totaling $140 since 2019 to ActBlue, a political action committee that supports Democratic candidates, according to federal campaign finance records.
Meanwhile, Joe Biden, Harris Kamala among many other persons have condemned the apparent second assassination attempt on Donald Trump life.
“I have been briefed by my team regarding what federal law enforcement is investigating as a possible assassination attempt of former President Trump today. A suspect is in custody, and I commend the work of the Secret Service and their law enforcement partners for their vigilance and their efforts to keep the former President and those around him safe. I am relieved that the former President is unharmed.
There is an active investigation into this incident as law enforcement gathers more details about what happened.
As I have said many times, there is no place for political violence or for any violence ever in our country, and I have directed my team to continue to ensure that Secret Service has every resource, capability and protective measure necessary to ensure the former President’s continued safety”, President Joe Biden stated on his Facebook page.
“I have been briefed on reports of gunshots fired near former President Trump and his property in Florida, and I am glad he is safe. Violence has no place in America”, the USA Vice President, Kamala Harris stated also on her Facebook page.
“I would like to thank everyone for your concern and well wishes – It was certainly an interesting day! Most importantly, I want to thank the US Secret Service, Sheriff Ric Bradshaw and his Office of brave and dedicated Patriots, and, all of Law Enforcement, for the incredible job done today at Trump International in keeping me, as the 45th President of the United States, and the Republican Nominee in the upcoming Presidential Election, SaFE. ThE JoB DoNE WaS AbSOLUTELY OuTSTANDING. I Am VeRY PrOUD To Be An AmERICAN!”, Donald Trump stated in a tweet on X social media platform.
