Barrister Ifeanyi Ejiofor, lawyer to the detained Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has raised alarm over the wellbeing of a 80-year-old-woman, Ukamaka Ejezie was arrested and detained since she visited the Biafra leader in Court in May, 2022.
Barrister Ifeanyi Ejiofor makes the revelation few hours ago while giving public update on his regular visit to the IPOB leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu at the DSS facility in Abuja.
According to Barrister Ifeanyi Ejiofor,
“We were reliably informed during this visit, that Mrs. Ukamaka Ejezie, Onyendu’s 80-year old adopted mother, who is still in the captivity of the DSS, is presently down with severe heart infection and could rarely breathe.
“Hence, we are calling on the World to prevail on the Nigerian Government, to ensure the immediate release of the octogenarian Great grand mother, who committed no offence by merely coming to court in solidarity with her adopted son, Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, during his last Court appearance”.
