Not less than 100 persons, mostly civilians have been confirmed dead less than 48 hours since on Friday early morning night Israel and Iran began new massive waves of offensive military campaigns that have forced commercial airplanes to avoid the troubled Middle east airspace as the two countries fly missiles of mass destruction in the air corridors, with local media confirming Iran ballistic missile killed 10 persons and injured more than 20 others at a single building struck at Bat Yam City in Israel as the angry Iranian Soldiers launched a massive all night continuous air bombardments campaign against the State of Israel that earlier on Friday began the new offensive military campaign when It flew fighter jets to strike Iranian military homes, nuclear weapon facilities, killing Iran nuclear weapon scientists, military leaders including Iranian Chief of Staff and Commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps, IRGC alongside almost 60 civilian death casualties, this, President Donald Trump of the United States, US in a statement issued on Friday shortly after Israeli attack via his personal verified social media handle on his own Truth Social media platform, praised and boasted about the military strength and capability of Israel, saying, things will only get worse for Iran because he gave them a chance to make a deal but they ignored the chance, adding with some level of mockery that the Iranian hardliners who spoke bravely are now dead as a result of the Israel attack on Iran, saying with emphasis that the US produces the best leathel military equipments any where in the world, and Israel already has alot of the US military leather equipments, adding that, Israel knows how to use the weapons and more will be giving to them, and in another statement issued also through the Truth Social media platform on Saturday shortly after the unprecedented military parades to mark the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States Army, President Donald Trump threatened to unleash the full strength and might of the US Armed Forces to attack Iran at a level never seen before if Iran dare attack US in any way, shape or form, claiming that the US had nothing to do with the Israeli attack on Iran, reacting earlier, Iran Supreme Leader, Imam Sayyid Ali Khamenei said Iran will retaliate Israeli attack with a strong response of no mercy, just as Iranian President, Masoud Pezeshkian said Israeli attack on Tehran on Friday killed military commanders, nuclear scientists, women and children, while wishing President Donald Trump and US Armed Forces happy birthday on Saturday, Israel Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu alleged that Iran made an attempt to assassinate President Donald Trump twice, adding that Israel attacked the military and nuclear facilities in Tehran on Friday because Iran was building Intercontinental nuclear weapons that could be used to destroy Israel and any other country in the world.
Shortly after the Israeli attack on Friday, Iran launched retaliatory airstrikes at Israel, with massive explosions in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv, the country’s two biggest cities, with residents running into bomb shelters and local media publishing videos and photographs of some parts of Israeli cities completely burnt down by Iranian missile.
The Times of Israel in an updated report early Sunday morning stated that the death toll from a building struck overnight by Iranian missiles at Bat Yam city in Israel has risen to 10 in numbers.
According to The Times of Israel earlier reports; “Two bodies were recovered by rescuers from under the rubble of the building that was hit by an Iranian ballistic missile in Bat Yam, first responders say.
This brings the death toll in the missile strike to six. Some 20 people are still feared missing.
Iran on Saturday night launched a barrage of dozens of ballistic missiles at Israel, with one missile impacting in the Arab city of Tamra, east of Haifa, killing four people. The barrage was Iran’s first since the early morning hours.
The salvo sent most of the country into shelters, with Home Front Command pushing phone alerts shortly after 11pm, but sirens were then only activated in the north and the Haifa area, as air defenses were activated to intercept the incoming attack.
One missile struck a two-story home in Tamra, killing four women and injuring some 10 people.
The women were named as Manar Khatib and her two daughters, Hala, 20, and Shada, 13, as well as another relative, Manal Khatib.
An Iranian ballistic missile struck a two-story home in the northern city of Tamra, east of Haifa, killing one woman and injuring 13 others, according to first responders.
Residents of the Arab Israeli city have long warned that there is a dearth of bomb shelters in the area, and that almost no homes have a safe room attached”.
The Times of Israel detailed the current situation in Israel thus: “Israelis on Saturday described the fear, chaos and confusion as several Iranian missiles slammed into houses and apartments in central Israel overnight, causing widespread destruction, killing three people and wounding dozens.
Warning sirens sent millions of people rushing for safe rooms and bomb shelters as Iran fired several waves of missiles in response to Israeli strikes on its military leadership and nuclear program. While the IDF said most were intercepted, several missiles — apparently armed with large explosive warheads — slammed into homes in Tel Aviv, Ramat Gan and Rishon Lezion.
“We shut the door, started watching the news through the computer, and suddenly there was a boom so loud that the whole building teetered,” Tali Horesh, resident of a Tel Aviv high-rise that was hit Friday night, told the Ynet news site.
“A few minutes later we opened the door because the smoke detector went off,” she said. “The entire living room was full of smoke, and we went back to the safe room.”
Horesh and her family remained in the safe room for some two hours before rescuers managed to reach them, Ynet said.
“On the lower floors the destruction was massive,” she said. “Running water, doors tossed aside, a mess. And the lobby was totally ruined.”
Rescuers, including hundreds of IDF Home Front Command soldiers, firefighters, police officers, medics, engineers and sniffer dogs remained at the site for hours, ensuring that no one was trapped in the building.
Colonel (reservist) Michael David, who leads the Home Front’s Tel Aviv command, told Ynet that his forces were trained to handle such situations and received reinforcements, but said: “This is an event of a magnitude we haven’t seen in the past.”
“We’re getting a picture of… the people who live in the building, to know if there is anyone missing or trapped. It’s a Sisyphic task that can take hours, especially when we’re talking about very high buildings, with many hundreds of tenants,” he said. “We won’t leave until we’ve made sure we didn’t leave any resident behind.”
That barrage impacted several areas of Tel Aviv and nearby Ramat Gan. A total of 63 people were injured, including a woman who was critically hurt and later succumbed to her wounds.
First responders evacuate a victim from a building hit by a missile fired from Iran, in Ramat Gan near Tel Aviv on June 13, 2025 (as reported with a photograph by Jack Guez of AFP).
Another barrage in the early hours of Saturday morning hit a residential area in Rishon Lezion, also near Tel Aviv. A man, identified as Yisrael Aloni, 73, and another woman were killed, and at least 20 people were wounded. A three-month-old baby was among those rescued from the rubble.
“I pulled her into my arms and then gave her to the first police officer I saw, and then started lifting out all the other family members,” Fire and Rescue Service, Captain Idan Chen told the Walla news site.
“As we were doing this, there were people trapped in the home above and next door — and opposite there was a fire — and I’m trying to manage the incident amid complete destruction,” he said. The baby was lightly wounded.
Neighbors described the chaos. “The kids and I were sleeping, my wife’s abroad. The moment there was a siren, we flew down to the safe room,” Avi Gatenio, a resident of the area, told Channel 12.
“Five minutes later, we heard a boom, but it was muffled, because everything was closed,” he said. Going outside, he said, he saw his neighborhood was damaged and helped an elderly couple out of the rubble, “so nothing else collapses on them.”
“Right after that, I went back to the kids, because they were frightened,” said Gatenio.
“Thank God, nothing happened to us, we didn’t even get a scratch,” he said, pointing to shards of glass on the ground: “Glass like that can hit a kid’s central artery and kill them.”
Iran’s strikes began less than a day after Israel first targeted the Islamic Republic’s nuclear facilities, missile factories, and military leadership, killing dozens and wounding hundreds. The Israeli attacks in Iran are ongoing.
Israel has sought to prevent Iran from enriching uranium, which is necessary to produce nuclear arms. Iran’s leaders, who are sworn to destroy Israel, publicly reject nuclear arms, but enrich uranium to a rate of 60% — far beyond what is necessary for civilian use, and a short step away from weapons-grade”, The Times of Israel news report ends in quotes.
Israel Defence Forces in a number of tweets said: “Iran alone is responsible for the current tensions in the Middle East. Their drive to achieve nuclear weapons and wipe Israel off the map is what lead us here.
A message from IDF International Spokesperson, LTC Nadav Shoshani on what lead to the current escalations with Iran: 15 nuclear bombs.
That’s how many nuclear weapons Iran could’ve made, before we stopped them. We had no choice but to operate. It’s for our survival.
Eliminated: 9 senior scientists and experts responsible for advancing the Iranian regime’s nuclear weapons program.
All of the eliminated scientists and experts, eliminated based on intelligence, were key factors in the development of Iranian nuclear weapons.
Their elimination is a significant blow to the regime’s ability to acquire weapons of mass destruction.
(Referring to a video earlier posted by Iran military, Israel Defence Forces said:) Iran posted this video to show the world how powerful they are. We showed the world what happens when you mistake propaganda for strength.
The Iranian Chief of Staff and Commander of the IRGC featured in this Iranian propaganda video have been eliminated and the site has been struck.
The IDF launched a preemptive, precise, combined offensive to strike Iran’s nuclear program.
(Showcasing photographs of Fighter jets used by Israel to attack Iran on Friday, the Israel Defence Forces said:) Dozens of IAF jets completed the first stage that included strikes on dozens of military targets, including nuclear targets in different areas of Iran.
Today, Iran is closer than ever to obtaining a nuclear weapon. Weapons of mass destruction in the hands of the Iranian regime are an existential threat to the State of Israel and to the wider world.
The State of Israel has no choice but to fulfill the obligation to act in defense of its citizens and will continue to do so everywhere it is required to do so, as we have done in the past”, IDF statement endsuotes.
AFP reported the UK Prime Minister, Keir Starmer saying: “We are moving assets to the region, including jets, and that is for contingency support,” Starmer told reporters travelling with him on his plane to Canada for G7 talks.
The UK leader said he had spoken with both US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu since Israel launched attacks on Iranian military and nuclear sites early Friday.
According to officials, dozens of people have been killed, including top army and Revolutionary Guards commanders as well as civilians.
Iran has responded with barrages of drones and missiles fired at Israel overnight Friday into Saturday.
Starmer said the situation was “fast moving” and “intense”. “We’re having ongoing discussions with our allies all of the time, both myself and (foreign minister) David Lammy… who also spoke to the Iranians,” he said.
“Our constant message is de-escalate, and therefore everything we’re doing, all discussions we’re having are to do with de-escalation.”
The UK leader said his talk on Friday with Netanyahu had been “good and constructive” and had “included discussions about the safety and security of Israel”.
Foreign Secretary Lammy said earlier Saturday that he was “alarmed” by further strikes overnight.
“We must urgently de-escalate and prevent any further harm to civilians,” Lammy said in a post on social media, adding that he had spoken to his Iranian counterpart Abbas Araghchi “to urge calm”.
Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, IRGC in a statement on Friday stated that: “In response to the aggression and criminal assault carried out this morning by the savage, terrorist, and child-killing Zionist regime on areas within the Islamic Republic of Iran—resulting in the martyrdom of several senior military commanders, prominent scientists, and innocent civilians, especially defenseless children—the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, as the defensive and offensive arm of the Iranian nation, has launched a forceful and precise retaliation.
With reliance on divine power, the wise leadership of the Commander-in-Chief (may his shadow be extended), and the united demand and support of the noble Iranian people, the IRGC has executed Operation “True Promise 3” against dozens of targets, including military centers and air bases of the usurping Zionist regime in the occupied territories.
The operation was launched with the sacred call ‘O Ali ibn Abi Talib (AS)’ on the blessed night of Eid al-Ghadir.
Further details of this operation will be announced in the next statement to the honorable people of Iran”.
Iran President, President Masoud Pezeshkian in a press release described Israel as a criminal Zionist occupier, saying, its action against Tehran and other cities in Iran on Friday violated International laws put together by International communities.
Imam Sayyid Ali Khamenei, Iran Supreme Leader in a televised speech following the attacks launched by Israel on Friday, said that; “Today, we must give a strong response to the evil, despicable, terrorist Zionist identity. God willing, we will respond with strength, and will show no mercy to them.
The Iranian nation won’t permit the blood of its valued martyrs to go unavenged, nor will it ignore the violation of its airspace”.
Meanwhile, the Iranian Foreign Ministry said that the; “Permanent Mission of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the United Nations has submitted an urgent letter to the Security Council—signed by our Foreign Minister—vehemently condemning the Israeli regime’s unlawful and reckless attacks on Iran’s nuclear facilities, as well as the targeted assassinations of senior officials and innocent civilians. The Israeli regime and its backer—namely the United States—shall be held fully accountable for these blatant violations of international law and their grave consequences”.
Israel Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu said: “Israel is defending freedom in the Middle East and beyond.
We’re doing so against a tyrannical and radical Iranian regime that wants to build atomic bombs to destroy us and wants to build ballistic missiles, including intercontinental ballistic missiles, to be able to threaten anyone and everywhere in the world.
Happy Birthday President Trump! Thank you for being Israel’s greatest friend and being so steadfast in the defense of the Jewish people and Jewish state.
Sara and I wish you a wonderful birthday and continued success in your historic presidency”.
President Donald Trump of the United States, US on Friday said through Truth Social media platform that: “I gave Iran chance after chance to make a deal. I told them, in the strongest of words, to “just do it,” but no matter how hard they tried, no matter how close they got, they just couldn’t get it done. I told them it would be much worse than anything they know, anticipated, or were told, that the United States makes the best and most lethal military equipment anywhere in the World, By Far, and that Israel has a lot of it, with much more to come – And they know how to use it.
Certain Iranian hardliner’s spoke bravely, but they didn’t know what was about to happen. They are all Dead now, and it will only get worse! There has already been great death and destruction, but there is still time to make this slaughter, with the next already planned attacks being even more brutal, come to an end. Iran must make a deal, before there is nothing left, and save what was once known as the Iranian Empire. No more death, no more destruction, Just Do It, Before It Is Too Late. God Bless You All!”
Hours after presiding over an unprecedented military parade in Washington DC, Donald Trump issued another statement and threatened that if Iran attacks the United States in any way, it would face the might of the US military at levels never seen before.”
In a post on his Truth Social platform, Trump also said the US had nothing to do with Israel’s latest attack on Iran overnight and that “we can easily get a deal done” to end the conflict.
He said; “The US had nothing to do with the attack on Iran, tonight. If we are attacked in any way, shape or form by Iran, the full strength and might of the US Armed Forces will come down on you at levels never seen before. However, we can easily get a deal done between Iran and Israel, and end this bloody conflict!!”
US Secretary of State, Marco Rubio on Friday said; “Tonight, Israel took unilateral action against Iran. We are not involved in strikes against Iran and our top priority is protecting American forces in the region. Israel advised us that they believe this action was necessary for its self-defense. President Trump and the Administration have taken all necessary steps to protect our forces and remain in close contact with our regional partners. Let me be clear: Iran should not target US interests or personnel.”
BBC reported that: “Not only has Israel’s attack on Iran been more wide-ranging and intense than its two previous military operations last year, but it also appears to have adopted some of the strategy that was used in the Israeli offensive against Hezbollah in Lebanon last November.
Footage from Tehran has shown what seem to be specific buildings hit, similar to images from Israel’s attacks on the southern suburbs of Beirut, which culminated in the killing of Hezbollah’s leader, Hassan Nasrallah.
No figure of that magnitude appears to have been killed in Iran. The Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei has not been targeted.
But to kill Iran’s military chief of staff, Hossein Salami, the commander of the powerful Revolutionary Guards, and several nuclear scientists, in the first hours of the operation is to have inflicted an unprecedented degree of damage on Iran’s elite. And Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has suggested this might go on for days”.
