NDDC: Negligence, Marginalization Of Imo State Pains Me – Uzodimma
By Hope Uzodimma
I am delighted today, as I played host to the Acting Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, Engineer Emmanuel Audu-Ohwavborua, who came on a courtesy visit with his team and interestingly, with a donation of Medical Essentials to Imo State.
While I am pained at the negligence and marginalization of Imo State by the NDDC, in the past, I never relented in making a case for an immediate reinstatement of Imo State in the league of Niger Delta States that benefits from the commission’s corporate social responsibility.
Apart from the need to partner with the Commission on infrastructural development in the State, especially the three rural roads which we had partnered with the commission for construction, I called on the Commission to support our intervention programs in alleviating the consequences of the flood incident at Ohaji/Egbema and environs.
As usual, my administration is open for any partnership that seeks to develop our dear State for the benefit of Ndi Imo nile.
