
Nigerians React To Timi Dakolo Copy Right Claim Over The Use Of His Song At APC Primary
Nigerians have expressed anger over the statement made by a music star, Timi Dakolo which he claimed; the All Progressives Congress, APC violated his property rights by playing one of his songs during their presidential primary election held in Abuja on Tuesday without seeking his permission.
Timi Dakolo took to his tweeter page to express his disapproval by the ruling APC to play and dance to his song he said they ought to seek his permission.
Some angry Nigerians took to the comment sections of his tweeter page, LindaIkeji blog, Vanguard and Punch newspapers to describe the copyright claim as an irresponsible talk.
Nigerians in their various reactions said APC or anybody don’t need to seek permission from Timi Dakolo before they can play or dance to his music at public events or parties.
The Nigerians said, the music is meant and released for public consumption hence APC or any organization has rights to use the song for public or personal consumption since the music was not used as background for advertorial.
