Nnamdi Kanu To Unknown Gunmen: We Are Fighting To Defend Our People, Not To Kill Them
Detained Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has called on Unknown Gunmen and other civilian armed groups responsible for the insecurity in the southeast states also known and referred to as Biafra land to desist from activities causing loss of lives in the states.
Nnamdi Kanu made the call on Tuesday, shortly after his fresh bail application was denied by the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja and presided over by Justice Binta Nyako.
According to Nnamdi Kanu, he wants Biafra land to be very, very calm and peaceful.
Nnamdi Kanu said the Biafra agitation is to fight for the defense of the Biafra people and not for them to be killed as currently being observed in the southeast states where mostly Igbo people are being killed, kidnapped and properties destroyed daily by different group of unknown gunmen.
“I want our People and Biafra land to be calm and peaceful. We are fighting to defend our people, not to kill them.
“We are fighting to defend them. That’s why I’m here. We will continue to do so until victory comes”, Nnamdi Kanu said.
