Hamas had invaded Southern Israel in a combined, coordinated, unprecedented land, air and sea attacks, in the early hours of Saturday 7, October 2023, killing over 1,300 people.
As at the time of filing in this report on Sunday afternoon, it was gathered that Israeli soldiers have moved war tanks and other heavy high precision weapons close to the fence of Northern Gaza, waiting for the expiration of the new humanitarian window given to the more than 1.1 million people to leave the Northern Gaza to begin ground assault.

The Prime Minister met with IDF fighters in the field, including Colonel Ami Bitton, commanding officer of the Paratroopers Brigade (the 35th Brigade), who recounted how he arrived in the first few hours of fighting together with hundreds of fighters who arrived from across the country from training, non-combat duties and exercises”.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also held a security assessment at the Kirya in Tel Aviv together with Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, Strategic Affairs Minister, Ron Dermer, Minister Benny Gantz, Minister Gadi Eisenkot, the IDF Chief-of-Staff, the Director of the ISA, the Director of the Mossad, the Director of the National Security Council, the Prime Minister’s Chief of Staff, the Prime Minister’s Military Secretary, the Head of the National Public Diplomacy Directorate, the Cabinet Secretary, the Head of IDF Intelligence, the Head of IDF Operations, the Head of the IDF Strategic Branch, the Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories and the Head of Research in the IDF Intelligence Branch.
Below is the excerpts of the Prime Minister’s Statement on Friday, October 13, 2023, from the Kirya in Tel Aviv as translated to English language by the Minister office:
“Citizens of Israel, Shabbat Shalom. Shabbat shalom to our forces deployed across the country who are celebrating the Sabbath in the field, far from home. Today, we all understand that we are fighting for our home. And we are all fighting tooth and nail: soldiers, police officers, citizens, security forces, health personnel and rescue teams — and Israel’s citizens, with your extraordinary volunteering spiring that has touched the entire world.
“We are all mobilized, we are all united. Stories of the heroic acts of our people in these dark days of pain and grief, of that cursed Saturday, will be told for years to come. Stories that will become an integral part of the history of Israel. We will never forget the horrific acts perpetrated against us by our enemies. I spoke today with bereaved families and families whose loved ones are still unaccounted for. Their world has collapsed. I know.
“We will never forget the horrific acts perpetrated by our enemies, and we will never forgive. We will not allow the world, or anyone, to forget these horrors, the likes of which the Jewish people have not endured in decades.
“We are pounding our enemies with unprecedented force, and I stress, this is only the beginning. Our enemies have only just begun to pay the price. I will not detail our plans, but I tell you, this is only the beginning.
“In my phone calls with President Biden and other world leaders, and through many other efforts, we are securing vast international support for Israel. Earlier today I met with the US secretary of state. We are ensuring that the war will continue through munitions and weapons that are en route to Israel. We will obliterate Hamas, we will triumph. It might take time, but we will end this war stronger than ever. “May the Almighty cause the enemies who rise up against us to be struck down before them.”
Earlier in the preceding week, the Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, at the joint statements with US Secretary of State, Antony Blinken in Israel said:
“Mr. Secretary, my good friend Tony, thank you for your important visit here today. Thank you, thank you President Biden and thank you to the American people for your incredible support for Israel in our war against the barbarians of Hamas. I thank you in English. I want to thank you in Hebrew as well.
“I want to thank Secretary of State Blinken, President Biden and the American people for their tremendous support in our war against the barbarians of Hamas.
“Mr. Secretary, you come here to a nation that is hurting, a nation of fighters, a nation of lions, a nation that is determined to defeat the forces of evil around us. Each and every hour we hear more stories of horror and stories of heroism. The stories of horror say everything about them and the stories of heroism say everything about us. And our heroism will win.
“Mr. Secretary, your visit is another tangible example of America’s unequivocal support for Israel. Hamas has shown itself to be an enemy of civilization: the massacring of young people in an outdoor music festival; the butchering of entire families; the murder of parents in front of their children and the murder of children in front of their parents; the burning of people alive; beheading; the kidnapping of a young boy, not only kidnapped, molested, hurt, attacked; and the sickening display of celebrating these horrors, the celebration and glorification of evil.
“President Biden was absolutely correct in calling this sheer evil. Hamas is ISIS and just as ISIS was crushed, so too will Hamas be crushed. And Hamas should be treated exactly the way ISIS was treated.
“They should be spit out from the community of nations. No leader should meet them, no country should harbor them, and those that do should be sanctioned.
“Tony, my friend, I say to you, I say to all of us, there will be many difficult days ahead. But I have no doubt that the forces of civilization will win and the reason that’s true is because we understand what is the first prerequisite of victory, it’s what you just said in our meeting: moral clarity. This is a time, a particular time, a special time, that we must stand tall, proud and united against evil.
“Tony, you are taking that stand. America is taking that stand. Thank you for being here today. Thank you, America for standing with Israel today, tomorrow and always.”
