A lady based in Ilorin, Kwara State, has volunteered to donate her human organ to save the life of Sonia Ekweremadu, the daughter of the detained former Nigeria Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu.

The lady who spoke with a journalist at Ilorin, said her decision to part away one of her kidneys was reached following the dream she had, wherein, it was revealed to her, to help save the girl’s life.

It would be recalled that many people on Thursday were awoke with the news of Ike Ekweremadu and his wife, Beatrice Nwanneka Ekweremadu being arrested and detained by the United Kingdom Metropolitan police, over alleged child slavery, and organ harvesting of a minor.

The Police had said that Ike Ekweremadu brought to UK, a boy said to be 15 years old to donate his organ to his sick daughter, Sonia Ekweremadu.

Ekweremadu was accused of deceiving the alleged baby boy, promising him a better life in the UK, unknowingly, he was being taken to the UK for his organs to be harvested.

Ike Ekweremadu and his wife was later on Thursday afternoon arraigned before a Magistrate Court in UK.

The couple pleaded not guilty to the charges preferred against them.

The Magistrate Court rejected the bail application filed by the couple and adjourned the trial to July 7, 2022.
