[Video] Police Refutes Claim Amotekun Arrests Trailer Filled Fulanis With Guns Hidden Under Grass

Ekiti State Command of the Nigeria Police Force has refuted claims that about 20 young men allegedly arrested by men of the OPC and Amotekun at Ikere-Ekiti on Tuesday were hiding guns, using grass sheet as cover.

The Police Command in a tweet yesterday said the intercepted truck of about 20 young men was searched and nothing incriminating was found.

“A group of Ikere-Ekiti youths intercepted a truck with about 20 young men on 07/6/2022…

“Alerted the police, search was conducted but nothing incriminating was found.

“They were however, escorted out of ikere.

“Nothing incriminating was found with them as being circulated”, the police said.

It would be recalled that some group of terrorists suspected to be FulaniHerdsmen invaded Saint Francis Catholic Church in Owo town of Ondo State on Sunday, shot over 85 worshipers dead during the church service.
