[VIDEO] Unknown Gunmen In Show Of Force At Ihiala, Display 4 Security Men Dead Bodies

Unknown Gunmen suspected to be members of the Biafra secessionist armed group, took over some streets and the ever busy Onitsha-Owerri Federal road within Ihiala local government area of Anambra State today to show their strength.

It was gathered that the Unknown Gunmen started the show of force between 10 a.m till 1p.m expecting a possible challenge from the Special Joint Security Operatives but they waited to no avail.

Residents said the Special Joint Security Operatives who for the past one week had been parading the Ihiala community with heavy high precision weapons including gun trucks and armoured tanks were not seen or didn’t challenge the Unknown Gunmen who appeared battle ready waiting for a fight.

Residents said about four Security Operatives suspected to be members of Ebubeagu were not lucky as they were gun down by the Unknown Gunmen around Uli town in the Ihiala local government area.

Asked if the Special Military war barricade/Check Point at the border between Ihiala main town and Uli community was attacked, the residents said no.

According to the residents, there are several roads the Unknown Gunmen could ply, through Ihiala-Eziama road to penetrate successfully to Uli without having contact with the military mini barrack.

Residents said while the Unknown Gunmen were moving from street to streets, one community to another within the local government area in show of force, motorists and other road users plying the Onitsha-Owerri Federal road quickly disembarked from their vehicles and took refuge close to the special military formation at the Ihiala-Uli border.

“For the hours they operated, no single challenge.

“They patrol through Orlu road, shot sporadically into the air, no challenge. They brought the four dead bodies I believe are members of Ebubeagu, to Total Filling Station along the Onitsha-Owerri road for everybody to see. At the Onitsha-Owerri road, they were shooting sporadically into the air. They stayed at that point for over an hour, shooting sporadically into the air, no challenge. I believe all the security operatives in Ihiala have ran away”, a resident who spoke anonymously said.
