Angry Youths Threaten Group Trying To Install Sultan Emirate In Edo

Youths from Edo state have continued to express anger over a coronation invitation card that has gone viral of one Idriss Addano as the Sultan of Shuwa Arab in charge of Edo state.

Edo youths under the Benin Solidarity Movement in a statement this morning described the group trying to carry out the coronation of Sultan in Edo state as faceless and accused the group of being the people responsible for incessant kidnapping in the Uhunmwode local government area of Edo state.

The youth group in the statement signed by its President, Curtis Eghosa Ugbo said; in Benin Kingdom there can only be one King who is reverend as His Royal Majesty, Omo N’Oba N’Edo Uku Akpolokpolo, Oba Ewuare II, adding that they are aware the faceless Islamic group are well funded by international Islamic organizations.

Inscription on the invitation card invited guests to the coronation of Idriss Addano as the Sultan Shuwa Arab of Edo state scheduled to hold between 21 to 22 August 2021 at Rialto Hotel along Auchi-Benin express way.

Wikipedia described the word “Sultan” as originally meaning; strength, rulership, authority and the title is now used by many rulers who claimed almost full sovereignty of the land in practical terms with lack of dependence on any higher ruler.

A legal practitioner, Jefferson Uwoghiren raised alarm and called on the general public to raise their voices against the coronation of Sultan Shuwa Arab in Edo state.

Benin Solidarity Movement said the plan of the group will meet a brick wall in Edo state.

If they have been having a smooth ride in other parts of the country they have met a brick wall in Benin Kingdom where their plans to have a foothold will never see the light of day.
The Benin Solidarity Movement (BSM) worldwide is watching with keen interest the intention of some strange fellows who are planning to do a coronation of a so called Sultan Idriss Adanno as the Sultan of Shuwa Arab in Edo State.

We are expressing our distate for the planned coronation being that in Benin Kingdom we only recognise our father, His Royal Majesty, Omo N’Oba N’Edo Uku Akpolokpolo, Oba Ewuare11, N’Ogidigan, as our Supreme Monarch; Any other claimant to royalty in the kingdom is inviting trouble.

BSM is quite aware that these new intruders into Benin Kingdom are the kingpins of kidnapping in that axis of Edo State (Uhunwode Local Government Area) and they are very well funded by international terrorist groups.

We are also using this opportunity to warn the Enogie of the area where the coronation is slated to hold (Eyaen) who is also the owner of the hotel (Rialto), Prince Osazuwa Aiwerioghene Iduriase to thread softly.
