One of the spokespersons to President Muhammadu Buhari on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu took to his social media pages yesterday to advertise the new order given to Nigeria Military Defense Headquarters to deal with terrorist groups known as bandits and Boko Haram in Niger State.

Garba Shehu in his post referred to the Boko Haram terrorists as remnant of Boko Haram terrorists who fled theater of war in Northeast and Northwest of the country due to military onslaught on the Islamic terrorists.

Garba Shehu statement maybe incorrect sequel to the fact that Boko Haram terrorists released a video few days ago showing the terrorists group sack Nigeria soldiers and took over Nigerian Army War College named Tukur Buratai Institute For War And Peace at Biu in the Northeastern Borno state of Nigeria.

Bandit terrorists had earlier last year sack Nigeria soldiers,Kidnapped and killed some soldiers when they attacked Nigerian Defence Academy in Kaduna.

This should convince Garba Shehu that the Boko Haram terrorists terrorizing Niger State are not remnants or terrorists who fled from the theater of war in the Northeastern and Northwestern part of Nigeria to the North Central.

Rather, a responsible government must be sincere enough to tell the people the truth that Boko Haram and Bandit terrorists are well organized groups that have camps and structures around the entire Northern Nigeria and gradually moving towards South.

Garba Shehu said President Muhammadu Buhari as Commander-in-Chief of the nation’s armed forces has set the ball rolling for a major military operation in Niger State which has faced continued attacks on its communities by bandits and remnants of Boko Haram terrorists fleeing theaters of war in the Northwestern and Northeastern parts of the country.

What is new about the ball President Muhammadu Buhari has set rolling?

Garba Shehu explained that in the new directive to the Military Defence Headquarters few days ago, the President asked the military to respond robustly to the cases of killings and kidnappings in the State and to give effect to the strategic objectives through the use of force.

“In his message to the government and people of Niger State, President Buhari said, “I would like to express sincere sympathies to the government and people of the State following recent security incidents.”

To the best of our knowledge, there is nothing new about the President Muhammadu Buhari new directive.

Since 2015, Muhammadu Buhari became President of Nigeria, he’s very fond of issuing threat to terrorists group and jumping into conclusion that his government has technically decimated or reduced the activities of terrorists even when Boko Haram and newer Bandits terrorists groups have waxed stronger and continued to wax stronger under the President Muhammadu Buhari led administration.

Thousands of Nigeria Soldiers have been killed by ISWAP-Boko Haram terrorists.

Yet, every time the terrorists struck, President Muhammadu Buhari will issue a threat and the following day, the terrorists will do something worse.

Buhari presidency announced few weeks ago that the government has secured approval from America Government to use the Super Tucano fighter jets on bandits, but, almost the same day the Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami issued the threat, the Bandits terrorists invaded several communities in Zamfara state and freely killed over 220 persons after holding the communities hostage for two days unchallenged.

We therefore appeal to President Muhammadu Buhari and his spokespersons to stop issuing threats to terrorists because to our best of knowledge, terrorists are people who are willing to die and people of such, threat incites and does not deters.
