Bukola Saraki Recalls, Anka A Buoyant Economy Has Become A Place Of Carnage Under Buhari

Former Senate President, Abubakar Bukola Saraki in condolence message to the people of Anka and Bukkuyum local government areas of Zamfara state following the two days of bandits multiple attacks that led to the death of not less than 200 persons recalled that Anka, a vibrant community of buoyant local economy he visited in 2013 has become a place of carnage.

Abubakar Bukola Saraki in a press release yesterday said he visited Anka in 2013 during the #SaveBagega poisoning crisis, he met with the people and observed the people of Anka worked very hard with resilient and determination to build a buoyant economy.

“Today, that same vibrant community has become a place of carnage. My heart is heavy, and truly there’s anger too because we cannot continue like this. We must find long-lasting solutions to this insecurity. We will In sha Allah”, Abubakar Bukola Saraki said.

Muhammadu Buhari became the president of Nigeria in 2015 after much campaign promises of ending insecurity in the country but since 2015, activities of new terrorists group known as bandits became more noticed and rampant.

Abubakar Bukola Saraki said further that all Nigerians owe the families of people affected in the Anka and Bukkuyum bandits multiple attacks a brighter future. Adding that “It is my prayer that with lasting peace and determined leadership, a place like Anka can one day become one of the highest income per capita communities in Nigeria. However, for this to happen, we must be decisive, thorough, and relentless about securing the lives and property of all Nigerians”.

“My heart goes out to the families and communities that have experienced the tragic loss and injury of loved ones, the destruction of their property, and the interruption of their livelihoods.

“Today, as we all mourn these terrible attacks in both Anka and Bukkuyum LGAs in Zamfara State, we owe the families and all other affected communities across the nation a brighter future.
