Nigeria super comic-music singer and dancer, John Odafe Asiemo well known as Daddy Showkey has said that those trying to harass and tarnish the image of the Anambra born Hotel and bar Business billionaire, Obinna Iyiegbu known as Obi Cubana will die in jealousy.

Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC had on Monday arrested and detained Obi Cubana at its custody in Abuja when the celebrity bar man honoured the commission’s invitation.

Some speculations had it that the harassment of Obi Cubana may not be unconnected with the Federal Government strategy to intimidate billionaires in the southeast states most especially with the resolved of the Armed Forces of Biafra Republic mainly known as unknown gunmen to stop the conduct of the Anambra State Governorship election come this week Saturday.

Some media quoted EFCC sources suggesting that Obi Cubana was arrested on the allegation of tax invasion by his company, Obi Cubana Group but the sources in accordance with the media reports failed to state the institution that petitioned Obi Cubana before the EFCC.

Federal Inland Revenue Service in charge of tax and other revenue collection in Nigeria is yet to officially issue a statement over claim from EFCC sources.

Continued mum by EFCC and FIRS have raised concerns in the public domain that the invitation sent to Obi Cubana by EFCC was a deliberate act of government to stain the character of the billionaire.

OsazuwaAkonedo also reports that EFCC did not or have not invited owner or manager of Multichoice Nigeria over 342 million dollar tax fraud made against it by FIRS rather FIRS and Multichoice Nigeria are fighting over the issue through court processes.

Obi Cubana came into fame earlier in the year when he hosted friends, celebrities and well wishers to the seemingly world most talked about burial ceremony of his late mother, Uche Iyiegbu held at Oba community in Anambra state.

Daddy Showkey in a few minutes video posted yesterday reacted to the arrest and detention of Obi Cubana by EFCC by saying thus; “Obi look dem… you people just make him to be more powerful and popular”
