Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo is reputed for being able to build confidence for Nigeria banks and made Nigerians trust Nigeria banks by thus willingly depositing their money with the banks unlike before, before he became the then Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN Governor, people keep their money at home or in the farm., he’s trying to build public confidence on governance or make people have confidence in the leaders of their state by thus breaking some of the barriers of bad governance in Nigeria.

Governors or presidents in Nigeria usually use their first day of inauguration to attend all manners of parties and ceremonies after ceremonies.

But yesterday Thursday, Soludo after taking oath office, quietly left the venue to his office and began work.

He appointed Solo Osita Chukwulobele as the Secretary to the State Government.

Without waiting for the usual broadcasting of the announcement on radio, newspapers and television houses with ceremonial congratulatory messages from friends, political associates and families of the beneficiaries, the SSG and others were sworn-in immediately same day.

Usually in Nigeria, the person appointed as SSG and into other political offices,will have to come along with their wife or husband, family members, friends and other invited guests with huge amount of money spent on lavished party or swearing-in ceremony on the day of the oath taking.

Governor Soludo today waved all those unnecessary spending and delay.

Others appointed and sworn-in included Chukwudi Okoli as Accountant General, and Chinedu Nwiye as Deputy Chief of Staff and State Chief of Protocol.

Governor Soludo held meeting with his team same day before closing from office on Thursday at about 5-6pm.
