Unknown Gunmen Behead Council Chairman Kidnapped In Imo
Disturbing videos online indicated that Unknown Gunmen have beheaded the Sole Administrator of Ideato North Local Government Area of Imo State, Christopher Ohizu.
Christopher Ohizu was kidnapped by the Unknown Gunmen on Thursday at his country home within Imoko community in Arondizuogu area of Ideato North Local Government Area of Imo State after setting ablaze his house.
Reports indicated that the council chairman was beheaded on Sunday after the family allegedly paid 6 million naira ransom in attempt to secure his release.
The video showed Christopher Ohizu forced to kneel down inside a bush, with his two hands tied behind, shirtless with only boxer.
A man in the video suspected to be the leader of the unknown gunmen group said, he would kill the Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma the way he had planned to kill the beheaded council chairman.
The suspected unknown gunmen leader said Boko Haram are fighting for Islamic State, adding, they were allegedly created by Governor Hope Uzodimma and his group.
The suspected Unknown Gunmen leader said Governor Hope Uzodimma is killing Unknown Gunmen he described as people who are not members of Eastern Security Network, ESN, Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, but independent armed group of people aggrieved with the situation of things, hence, fighting for the creation of Biafra Republic.
The suspected leader and other members of the unknown gunmen group thereafter in a chorus voice said; there will be no election in the Southeastern region known as Biafra land.
The Unknown Gunmen group threatened to kill more politicians the way they had planned to kill the beheaded Local Government Chairman, Christopher Ohizu.
Shortly after the Unknown Gunmen message, another short video showed moment the Unknown Gunmen bend the neck of Christopher Ohizu and started slicing or cutting the neck with a knife slowly with blood gushing out while the body of the victim looked already lifeless at the beginning of the slow death.
“They beheaded the Ideato North Sole Administrator on Sunday. They posted the video of his beheading with his phone on his own WhatsApp status. This was how people got to know that he has been beheaded.
“He was sliced after collecting a ransom of 6 million naira. He was killed in such an inhuman way. The videos are terrifying. May God heal our land”, a source reportedly said.
