Man Kidnapped In Edo State, N70m Ransom Paid In Kaduna
Factional chairman of the Edo State Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria, IPMAN, Alhaji Abdul-Hamid Egele known as Baba Petrol who was kidnapped by gunmen on February 7, 2022 at his home in Jattu, Edo State has been released after 70 million naira ransom was reportedly paid to his abductors in Kaduna State
PUNCH Newspaper in a report yesterday quoted a family source who disclosed that the factional IPMAN chairman was released on Wednesday at an undisclosed location in Edo State after his abductors collected the ransom of 70 million in an undisclosed location in Kaduna State.
Baba Petrol is currently receiving treatment in an Hospital in Edo State spent over 9 days with the abductors before he was released.
It was gathered that the abductors had six days ago demanded for 80 million naira ransom.
Baba Petrol was kidnapped on Monday, February 7 in Jattu, at 7pm, when he returned home from work when the gunmen accosted him and shot his driver.
