Anambra Election: Security Operatives, INEC Officials Outnumbered Voters Across Polling Units

As at 9 O’clock this morning while filing in this report, situation in Anambra State shows security operatives and INEC officials are mainly and majorly the people in polling units across the state as voters and other residents remain indoor to boycott the governorship election currently ongoing.
Situation in Oba, Nnewi, Ihiala, Ihembosi, Uli, Okija saw heavy security present while the voters and other residents remain indoor.
Video coverage by Channels Television and TVC show polling units in Awka, the state capital where the commissioner of police and other top security commanders are closely monitoring the election have very scanty number of people who turned out to cast their votes in the governorship election.
The videos from both television stations show more of security operatives, INEC officials, party agents with very few civilians on a queue to vote.
OsazuwaAkonedo reports many streets in Onitsha that is highly populated and its environs are with little or no sound as voters and residents remain indoor, making the whole area appear like graveyard.
The election is scheduled to commerce by 8:30am with the expectation of more than 2.5 registered voters coming out to vote.
